Authentic Iftar Dua’

Salam dear readers,

It’s certainly not too late to wish all fellow muslim brothers and sisters
” Ramadhan Kareem ! “

A re-post of which a friend of mine shared this during my time in Al Rajhi. Many of us been reciting this iftar du’aa of which it is considered da’eef (weak sources)

Below is the authentic iftar duaa’ from the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) :

Zahabaz zama’u wab tallatil uruqoo wa sabatal ajru Insha Allah

“My thirst is quenched, the veins are moistened and the reward is confirmed, Allah willing.”

This has also been mentioned by Dr Zakir Naik.

Therefore the correct way of breaking the fast is to say Bismillaah when it is time for Iftar and eat a date and drink some water or juice and then make the above mentioned Du’aa

Wallahualam
